On one of our mission trips from Cebu to Leyte we were able to take Tatay (Age 84) to see his only surviving brother. This was the first time the two have met in over 25 years. The Super Ferry got us there in a record time of 2hrs. The last time Tatay went the trip took a grueling 8 - 10 hours. When we arrived at the port near Ormoc City he was in disbelief of the short time it took to get there. The reunion was an even greater shock to both of them as they cried and shared together stories of their lives apart. It was so touching to see the two of them able to see each other after so long of a time apart.

New mother almost dies of flu

During our daily internet conference a young lady came in and nearly passed out with an extreemly high fever. She had the flu and her new born child is only a month old! We were able to get her immediate medical attention which probably saved her life and the life of her new born child! This one was a rather close call and if we were not in constant communication with them over there we may have missed the opportunity to send the funds to save this girls life. Thanks to your donations we can accomplish these type of miracles.

Another life saved! Sevando was on the brink of death when he was discovered in his small shelter about bent over and not moving. We rushed him to the hospital where he recived medical treatment. He would have died if it were not for the quick actions of our team. Servando is the father of 13 and grand father of over 100 children. He selflessly gives to all his family often times keeping them from starvation. We are so glad to have been able to save this man's life and giving him the chance to continue his generous work. He now resides in our facility in Talisay Cebu where he can be assisted by our caring staff. Thank all of you who have helped us make this mission possible.

Kid's can be goofy sometimes can't they? Can you imagine though a child that must work from a very small age say 5 years old? He must sell newspapers or beg or find some way to support himself? No time for play no time for school? There are actually many families that have to take a family vote to determine which child out of 5,6 or even 7 that they can afford to send to school! That's right no free school here! We have approximately 15 in school now that we support and two (2) of them have turned out to be real geniuses. They are in the top 10 of their entire school. One of them even has a photographic memory and has earned many awards and ribbons. There are so many more we can send to school with your help. We can not do it all our self and we know that.
